Protecting Child Victims of Sex Trafficking

child-traffic-newsNPR reports that twelve states have passed safe harbor legislation for child victims of sex trafficking. The intent of these laws is to give the courts a way to divert children who have been forced into prostitution from having to face juvenile delinquency charges and redirect them into “a child in need” proceeding.
