This is good news.Abuse victims often find themselves living in a mental time capsule living with mental baggage they cannot get rid of. Childhood sexual abuse has been correlated with higher levels of depression, guilt, shame, self-blame, eating disorders, somatic concerns, anxiety, dissociative patterns, repression, denial, sexual problems, and relationship problems ect. At the very least it will give them an extended opportunity to come forward and possibly move on with their lives and add to the exposure organizations that continue to hush abuses or outright hide them. Will justice truly prevail?, unfortunately I say no, it will take a much higher power to bring healing and true justice.
