Trey Bundy’s Biography
Trey Bundy is a reporter for REVEAL from the Center for Investigative Reporting.
During his career, he has worked at the San Francisco Chronicle, The Bay Citizen, and now for REVEAL. Early in his career, Trey covered stories involving child welfare, juvenile justice, education, and crime. His work has appeared in The New York Times, SF Weekly (San Francisco), The Huffington Post, PBS NewsHour, Planet magazine and many other news outlets. He has won three awards from the Society of Professional Journalists. He won the national Hearst Journalism Award for “article of the year” in 2009.
Bundy has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from San Francisco State University. He is based in Reveal’s Emeryville, California, office.

Some are essentially reprints of his REVEAL articles. Other articles were written by our staff based on Trey’s reports or appearances on Internet podcasts. Watchtower Faces $2 Million Plus Tab for Hiding Child Sex Abuse
[Trey Bundy : November 16, 2017] The Jehovah’s Witnesses’refusal to hand over internal documents detailing alleged child sexual abuse just got more expensive. A California appeals court last week upheld an order for the religion to pay $4,000 for each day it does not turn over the documents. The tab now stands at $2 million.
